House with a workshop

This project is one of the early concepts for the development of a spacious plot in the picturesque area of Wieżyca in the Kashubian region. Its form is inspired by the archetype of a modern barn – a simple volume with a gently sloping roof, characteristic of agricultural buildings that harmonize with the landscape.

The house, with a usable area of 105 m², was designed with functionality and aesthetics in mind. The ground floor houses the living space, while the attic serves as storage. The building stands out with a terrace, elevated on a solid base made of architectural concrete, which levels the differences in the terrain’s height and allows direct access to the outdoors from every room.

The project offers two color variants. The dark version features burnt wood and graphite brick with a subtle interplay of matte and gloss finishes. In the light version, natural materials are used – brick in its original color and wood, which gradually takes on a noble gray hue, harmonizing with the surroundings.
